Why We Built This Site
Tennessee gives the public broad access to many court records through the Tennessee Public Records Act and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34. The hard part in Grundy County is figuring out which office holds the file. The Circuit Court Clerk handles Circuit, General Sessions, Juvenile, traffic, misdemeanor, and criminal files. The Clerk and Master handles Chancery, probate, divorce, conservatorship, guardianship, name change, and delinquent-tax matters. The County Clerk handles marriage licenses, vehicle records, business licenses, and county commission records. The Sheriff manages jail and law-enforcement records, while state agencies hold driver records, vital-record certificates, and sentenced-felon custody records.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
